Dear students and parents,
We've been fortunate enough to have cooperative weather since students have returned to school. However, the next two days look to be very wet. Therefore, we've put together this plan to ensure everyone has the time and space to eat safely. Please review this information. It'll simply the process if everyone knows what to expect.
Generally speaking, morning arrival will work the same as we've been doing it. The only change will be that the signs for students to line up will be under tents, so the students can be dry if it is raining. Middle school students will use the two tents in front of the building and high school students will use the two tents in the back of the building to line up.
We will have one breakfast cart set up in the theater lobby. Students who want to eat breakfast will be allowed into the theater to eat. Once they have finished their breakfast, students will be moved back to the tents outside, to make room for others to eat.
Because we need to maintain 6' distancing while eating, space is going to be at a premium. Everyone's cooperation is appreciated. The plan is to empty all of the classrooms, queuing students in other spaces, and then to have them go back into classrooms to eat lunch. Here's the overall plan:
Middle school lunch will run as it has in the past during rain. 8th grade students will be going into the theater, while 7th grade students will queue up in the dance studios before heading to their assigned lunch spaces.
High school students will be dismissed from class in groups to queue up in the tents behind the building. Once the building has been emptied, students will be allowed back into the 2nd and 3rd floor classrooms to eat. Classrooms will be filled from one end of the hallway to the other on the 2nd floor. When 2nd floor classrooms are full, we will continue to fill the 3rd floor. This will allow students some control over whom they eat lunch with, by entering the building together.
Return to PM Classes
Students will be dismissed from their lunch locations directly to their afternoon classrooms.
Thank you all, for your cooperation!
