Dear 7th and 8th Grade Students and Families,

Welcome to PVPA!  Whether you’re coming back or stepping in for the first time, I’m glad you’re here and look forward to working with you.

My name is Kyle Taylor, and I’m taking over for Dee Cullen as the middle school counselor.  Dee and I have worked together in the past on school counseling initiatives, and while I and others are sad to see her go, I am so excited to be coming into this role.

Throughout the year, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or needs you might have.  Whether it’s about academics, social and emotional well-being, plans for the future, or just to say hi, I welcome you.  I can be reached at or by phone at 413 552 1580 x423.  Students can also stop by my office (room 423) with permission from a teacher or during non-class times to leave me a note or make an appointment.

You can expect some exciting things this year as I become more familiar with the PVPA systems and students, and I appreciate your care as I establish myself within the community and we work to develop a school counseling program that meets everyone’s needs.  Just a few things you can expect are:

  • Small group student meetings so that I can get to know each of you personally.  Throughout the month of September, I’ll be setting up small group meetings in order to meet all students.
  • A comprehensive school counseling program that offers education on a variety of topics from substance abuse prevention to planning for the future.
  • Popping into advisory to connect with students and staff, help build community, and enjoy the morning’s activities.

I’m looking forward to the school year, and am excited to meet all of you.  Please know that I’m available and willing to help in any way that I can to help support the needs and concerns of students and families, so don’t hesitate to reach out!

All the best,

Kyle Taylor
