A tour is a great way to see the activity at PVPA! See our arts spaces, including our beautiful theater, and see classes in action. Have a chance in a small group setting to ask questions about the school's philosophy, curricula, faculty and leadership.
Tours are intended for both interested guardians and students. Arrive at the main office for start time of 3:00pm.
Tours were held on the following dates from 3:00pm-3:45pm:
November: Thurs/15th, Weds/28th, Thurs/29th
December:Tue/4th, Weds/5th, Mon/10th, Tues/18th, Weds/19th
January: Weds/2nd, Thurs/3rd, Tues/29th
Shadow days begin in March after the lottery has occurred and go until the end of May.
Please note: Unfortunately we have reached our capacity for shadow requests this spring.
Students who have applied for the 2019-20 school year are welcome to request a shadow day.
Students shadow a current PVPA student in the grade they have applied to attend. They will see what arts and academic classes look like, as well as observe the functioning of PVPA on a typical day.
For shadow days, we ask that guardians bring their child to the main office between 8:15 and 8:25 with a notebook, writing utensil, lunch and water bottle. School gets out Monday-Thursdays at 3:55pm as so we ask families to plan to pick up their child by 4pm in the main office.
More information regarding the scheduling of shadow days:
Once the Admissions Coordinator schedules a shadow day for your child, she will email you with the proposed date. Please respond in a timely manner once you are emailed so that she may re-accommodate if needed. Please allow UP TO THREE WEEKS for a response to your request. Due to demand and a limited schedule, we are not be able to meet every request. PVPA permits students to shadow ONCE per season.
